CFPC Exam Orientation Workshop
Workshop overview
We offer a preparatory 2-day workshop for the College of Family Physicians (CFPC) Certification Exam.
Practice Eligible Candidates learn about test components, participate in mock exams and become familiar with the marking criteria before they sit the actual exam.
Workshop benefits
- Gain an introduction to CFPC certification exam components.
- Receive a detailed analysis of the Simulated Office Oral (SOO) marking scheme.
- Apply your learnings by practising a mini-Short Answer Management Problems exam (SAMPS) and review the marking scheme.
- Participate in four practice SOOs and receive immediate feedback on performance.
Who should take this program?
This workshop is meant for trained physicians (including International Medical Graduates) that are working in Canada under the supervision of another medical professional and are eligible to participate in certification examinations. By successfully completing the CFPC Exam, trained physicians receive their Certification in Family Medicine, and can use the designation CCFP.
As the professional home for Ontario’s 15,000+ family physicians, the OCFP supports and advocates for the role of the family physician as the foundation of an effective health system. More comprehensive-care family physicians are needed to serve populations across the province. The CFPC Exam Orientation Workshop is one way the OCFP is helping to increase the number of practicing family physicians in Ontario.
