Dr. Ramona Joshi

Dr. Joshi received her medical degree from McMaster University and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto. She began her career as a Hospitalist and later as an Academic Family Physician for 11 years. Dr. Joshi developed the Palliative Care Consultation service at Toronto East General Hospital in 2007. She is the inaugural Medical Director and Division Head of Palliative Care at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH). She holds a Certificate of Added Competency in Palliative Care, certification in Palliative Care from Harvard University and an FRCPC in Palliative Medicine. She continues to be actively engaged in resident teaching. She is currently developing the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic at MGH. In her free time, Dr. Joshi enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.

Communities Served

Dr. Joshi works at MGH, a community-based U of T teaching hospital serving a multicultural population from a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds. She provides palliative care to patients admitted to the Palliative Care Unit, consultation to inpatients and runs a weekly outpatient clinic.
