As a family doctor, you need access to information, knowledge, and experts to support you in providing the best care possible for your patients with their mental health, substance use disorders and chronic pain. These are challenging conditions and treating them has only grown more demanding and complex during this pandemic.

Practising Well is here to provide that support. It is an active and engaged approach that gives you access to a deep well of knowledge to make your practice easier today, and to improve it in the future.

At the core of Practising Well are three distinct, yet interrelated parts:

What You'll Find in the Information Exchange:

An easy-to-navigate online repository of information, including clinical tools and resources and other educational programs, on treating patients in the areas of mental health, substance use disorders and chronic pain, designed to help you quickly find what you’re looking for.

What You'll Find in the Community of Practice:

A Community of Practice by family physicians, for family physicians, to connect in real time with, and learn from, others who are working with patients to address their mental health, substance use disorders and chronic pain.

The Practising Well Community of Practice has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+credits. This Community of Practice includes a series of planned webinars. Each session is worth 1 Mainpro+credits, for up to a total of 12 credits.

What You'll Find in Peer to Peer Connect:

An opportunity to partner with another family physician in a one-on-one or small group setting and share experiences and best practices in the treatment of mental health, substance use disorders and chronic pain.

This three-credits-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 36.0 Mainpro+® credits.
