Help you care for your patients

ECHO Ontario Child and Youth Mental Health can help you change the way you diagnose, prescribe, treat and refer children and youth with mental health problems. By improving the way you safely and effectively treat mental health problems, you can reduce the need for specialist intervention and provide faster access to care for your patients. Join the virtual Community of Practice to receive peer support and a consultation network.

Improve patient outcomes

This program improves your ability to provide guidance and support while waiting for specialist referrals, creates local experts in child and youth mental health, and can help to reduce disparities in the quality of care for rural, remote and underserved areas by providing culturally-competent care in a local environment.

“It provides me with ongoing support and stimulates me to continue to learn. I felt pediatric mental health training has been a blind spot for our pediatric training.” - Program Participant

Benefits of the program

The program can help you become a local expert in child and youth mental health, and can enhance your ability to screen, assess and provide resources to your patients.

“I have been able to learn to use a lot of the evidence-based screening tools for pediatric mental health issues and many of them are free. I have downloaded them into my EMR and feel more comfortable using them on a day-to-day basis when I feel it’s necessary to." - Program Participant
