Become a Peer Learner

Work toward your learning goals in a supportive space.

What is a Peer Learner?

As a Peer Learner, you will connect with a Peer Guide (a fellow family physician), who will share their personal experience and expertise in your selected area of interest. Together, you will work collaboratively to identify and develop your strengths. You’ll build on your existing skillset to bring practical approaches to addressing complex issues.

Peer Learner Objectives

By taking part as a participant, you will:

  • Earn free Mainpro+ credits through the three credits per hour Group Learning program
  • Receive support in caring for your patients
  • Gain skills to empower patients facing difficult and challenging issues
  • Achieve goals that are meaningful to you and your journey as a physician
  • Stay up to date with the latest tools and knowledge to support your practice

You can become a Peer Learner in three easy steps:

  1. Review the Peer Learner role description for more information.
  2. Create an account on the OCFP website. Already have an account? Log in.
  3. Browse the Peer Guide directory to make a connection.
