The Ontario College of Family Physicians Board of Directors will be recruiting its next CEO following the resignation of Ms. Leanne Clarke, effective July 30, 2021. Leanne first joined the OCFP in 2013 as a consultant, supporting the Board in the development of its strategic plan and policy work, and has been CEO since 2017.
This news brings mixed emotions for all of us who have had the pleasure of working with Leanne these past eight years. While we fully support the wonderful opportunity this next chapter presents for her personally, we will all miss her inspiring leadership and tireless commitment to family medicine and primary care, within a stronger health system for all Ontarians. On behalf of the Board, we are grateful to Leanne for her immense contributions as CEO, and especially for so adeptly navigating our work through this challenging time of COVID-19.
She leaves a tremendous legacy for our organization and our many strengthened partnerships, which are an organizational value and will continue to guide the OCFP toward its vision of a healthier Ontario.
With the impending release of the OCFP’s Strategic Plan for 2021-2024, developed with the input of our members and partner associations, Leanne also leaves with a clear path forward for the Board and staff to deliver on the work, while providing a head start for the new CEO’s focus.
As it relates to the recruitment for the next CEO, the OCFP Board has retained LHH Knightsbridge to lead the search. For further information about this opportunity, or to submit an expression of interest (cover letter and current resume), please contact Lindsay Millard at [email protected].
